Both Perreault and Vote are likely at 100% at skating now as they have been skating for a while and their legs are not the issues. Their delay must be at clearance to play in Vote's case especially or additional hesitance to play in making sure Perreault is 100% healed....

The only team that would ever have to play the early game is Vermont. If you ever have been to Vermont you would know what I mean. The state shuts down at 6pm....

BC is more than likely working on the tight forechecking in practice this week and if they figure a way out which is highly likely they will be even more explosive offensively as the opponents will have a man or two behind the play as a result. Much like how basketball teams break the press and get...

The students will not be taking trains. It would be longer to get to Providence that way than by bus to Springfield as they would have to make their way to South Station first. BC would provide lots of busses if needed. Besides there are no classes Thursday through Monday and most students will be gone...

Let's throw another wrench into the placement process. If BC has any say, which as the overall number one seed they probably do in this matter, they likely will prefer to go to Springfield. There is little difference in distance less than 40 miles and time perhaps 20 minutes than going to Providence....

Let's give some credit to Connecticut. They have some legitimate skilled players who can control play. I think they are probably behind BC and BU the most skilled in the league but do not have enough depth. If they had a goaltender like Maine or UMass Lowell had in the past they would be title contenders....

The only bid stealers can be one of the ECAC teams other than Quinnipiac. St Cloud to a small extent because if they win out they will probably be 13th anyway but if they lose in the championship they somehow could sneak in if everything goes their way. They are the only non autobid outside the top...Last edited by BC/HE; Yesterday, 08:55 AM.

Line chart is up. Perreault and Vote still out. Leddy again the 7th Defenseman.

I don't think the scenario presented sends BU west as the NCHC has 5 teams in that field and the avoidance of the intraconference match up no longer applies. What may be intriguing is that there may still be a possibility of both Providence and UMass getting in but probably only if UMass wins. The fact...

And to think I rooted for UMass as strongly as any of your fans during your 2 championship final games. Wash your mouth with soap please!...

According to the NCAA the host for Springfield is University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Western MA Sports Commission. So while AIC is probably involved they are technically not a host. If one of the teams is a 3 seed and the other is a 4 it really shouldn't be a problem to place both there though....

Not likely to happen but if a bunch of those teams on the bubble all lose and St Cloud gets swept in their 2 games but still winds up 14th would they be ineligible for the tournament because of a losing record?

It's more simple than that. All it takes is for UNH and Northeastern to win. The PC-UMass and UConn-UVM results don't matter for that to happen. Northeastern will be in a win or go home situation the rest of the way while BU is 91% locked into the #2 overall seed and can fall no further than 3rd....

Sorry I had been going by CHN's convoluted tournament page which left an open spot after the Michigan/Notre Dame game due to game 3 of Ohio State/Wisconsin that did not take into consideration the reseeding so I thought that series was not over yet. Of course Michigan is now in over the loser of that...

There is one wrench in the PWR that could help one of those Hockey East teams stay in if they lose. That is most other tournaments have best of 3 quarterfinals and a team getting swept there picks up 2 losses which could move them below a one loss Hockey East loser. Also two of the contenders St Cloud...

Perreault and Vote still out. Korec in net. No other changes.

Unless UMass beats Maine in the final regular season game the talk of Hockey East getting 5 teams in the tournament is unlikely now. Providence will play UMass in the Hockey East quarterfinal and the loser may drop below the cut line unless someone else falls flat too.

Hockey East playoffs coming into focus now. BC will likely play the winner of Vermont at UConn. The only other possibilities are UMass Lowell or Merrimack if either of them knock off UNH or Northeastern. UNH will be 6th and Northeastern 7th so good chance to see NU-BU in the quarterfinals. Last place...

I think Zabaneh and Colby Ambrosio from BC are almost identical players. Ambrosio may have about 20 career points more but he played with Gauthier and Nesterenko last year to account for some of it. They both are almost identical in shots and penalties as well....
