I’m shocked the game plan didn’t work out. On paper, it was perfect:
1. Skate into resistance
2. Turn your back to play
3. Flip the puck blindly (direction not important)
4. Get outskated to the loose puck

Yesterday was a ton of fun, even if the result wasn’t ideal. I was running into people I hadn’t seen in a decade- since Maine was in the Garden and the regionals every year. For one year only, I’d say I was happy for the team just to be there.

Right, but the banding isn't a precedent- it's an actual rule in the manual. They can't change that mid-stream without some sort of substantive rule making involving players well beyond the selection committee....
