Agreed. I think Maine would need to do things a bit differently than BU/BC do, but Maine can absolutely be successful. It's probably a harder road, but it is a road....

I don't understand the sky is falling mantra. Outside of BU and BC, what roster in the league are you looking at and saying "Maine can't compete with that"? Lowell was bad and is having an exodus. UVM and Merrimack weren't exactly brimming with young talent. UConn lost its top scorer and...

A few thoughts:
1. While Bradly is likely not "ready" to be a force in the NHL, that doesn't mean it is bad for his development to sign a professional contract. As soon as someone turns pro it isn't like he is then what he was at the date he turned professional for the rest of...

Correct. It's only applicable to players who played during one of the pandemic seasons. There will be fewer and fewer of those going forward....

Interesting. 5 G, 7 A as a freshman in 33 games. Missed this past season with a knee injury suffered in an off-campus fight. Should have three years left.
I can't say I have any real recollection of him playing for Lowell two years ago. Is this a move to improve the depth and make...

I don't understand what the thought process is in letting the message board die. Why is anyone going to read this site if it's gone? Poorly edited articles with the depth of a third rate college newspaper? Gambling podcasts? Gross google ads?...

All in all, I'd have to say the season is a success. Back to Boston, back to the NCAAs, filling the Alfond... that's where this program has needed to be. The next step is to make that the baseline expectation. Despite what the PWR said all year, this team was probably somewhere around 10th-12th in...

I’m shocked the game plan didn’t work out. On paper, it was perfect:
1. Skate into resistance
2. Turn your back to play
3. Flip the puck blindly (direction not important)
4. Get outskated to the loose puck

I wasn't overly upset Maine wasn't going to be the ones to get trucked by BC....

Yesterday was a ton of fun, even if the result wasn’t ideal. I was running into people I hadn’t seen in a decade- since Maine was in the Garden and the regionals every year. For one year only, I’d say I was happy for the team just to be there.
The fanbase still dwarfs...

I quoted it below. It in fact does say that:
"Once the six automatic qualifiers and 10 at-large teams are selected, the next step is to develop four groups from the committee’s rankings of 1-16. The top four teams are No. 1 seeds and will be placed in the bracket so that if...

Right, but the banding isn't a precedent- it's an actual rule in the manual. They can't change that mid-stream without some sort of substantive rule making involving players well beyond the selection committee....

To this point, six of Dafoe's seven goals were against independents. I bet a number of Friars would improve their scoring playing asteady diet of Augustana, LIU, and Stonehill....
