I’ll throw my support for Caron for being able to backstop BU national championship. Gave up 1 regulation goal in the national semi while making 2 or 3 unbelievable saves. That usually gets it done. I too think he was screened by the Webber attempted block. Otherwise I think he gets that one....

BC had 2 power plays to amplify their shot total. They did make a charge with those, but Denver did a great job blocking shots and defending their zone the rest of the time. Very crisp short passes to start going the other way. I was impressed. BC was a little sloppy in the offensive zone and that...

No even strength goals. Needed a few in the first half of the game. Denver was in the dumps and they couldn’t put one in. The hit post late in regulation will haunt us all for the summer. Oh well, the program is on track to do something at this stage soon. I’m convinced of it....

I really hope so. Denver is looking like Denver should be after that goal. We didn’t take advantage of dominating the first half+ of this game. It’s anyone’s game now. I love how we have played this game so far....

What is everyone thinking about Denver? 30 win team, NCHC Tournament Champions (won at Xcel Energy Center), 2nd place regular season behind North Dakota, high scoring, solid goaltender - this is a tough team to beat. Both UMass and Cornell held them to 2. I’m not surprised Cornell did that,...

I don’t ever remember seeing a trophy. I like how BU avoided it like the plague just like the conference championship trophies in the NHL. Nice to see them get it done in a “championship” final. Just need to do it one more time.
Anyone know where the BU sections are?...

The “dream” matchup is still in play. For a while I thought the Q was really going to advance. That’s a pesky team....

Thanks - those teams were so evenly matched. This needs to be at least an every other year game on the schedule (regular season of course!). I would love to come and visit Mariucci!...

Maybe so in the end, but it was so uncomfortable watching us I our own zone when Minnesota set up. Maybe it felt the same way on the other side too. Caron was outstanding again. Close gave up 2 that squeaked under his pads and in - one for the first goal to Quinn Hutson on a nothing shot, and the...

I am NOT selling my Frozen Four tickets (again!). See everyone in St Paul!

If we didn’t get that response goal in the last 2 minutes, I think this could have gotten away real quick. I thought we played well - 2 lasers by Minnesota. Close saved them in that period. Caron with a couple of game savers as well. Oh well, keep trying I guess....

Fitting that we need to beat Minnesota to get to St Paul. The Gophers will be extra jacked for this one and will have plenty of fan support present.(Think North Dakota in Fargo, only probably down a notch) I agree minimizing turnovers and power play opportunities will give us the best chance to win....

I think the game against RIT will be similar to playing a good Merrimack team (like last year). It probably will not be a fun game to play....

That Sanford Center out in Sioux Falls looks like a nice modern midsize arena. It holds about over 10,000 for hockey. Too bad hardly anyone supporting BU will be there. I looked and there were like 4 single seats available for each day. I’m sure the place will be flooded with Minnesota and...

This would be sweet. Get some redemption and deny Minnesota to getting to St. Paul for a home FF. This would be reminiscent of beating Northern Michigan in 93 and Lake State in 95 to get there. I’m weary of playing Minnesota out west in a regional. The last 2 NCAA games haven’t gone...
