Not sure what you're seeing there, JB ... Giuliano was hired to fill the slot on the staff vacated by MS7 when he took Umile's HC job, so he's been along for the ride for the full length of Souza's HC tenure. If he's taken on a more prominent role these last few seasons, or (*gasp*) actually gotten...

Short (incomplete) list of things we are waiting on from UNH Hockey in the offseason (please feel free to add) ...
(1) Further details on any other portal casualties (TBF, the current status is a "win" for UNH/MS7);
(2) Decisions from a small handful of remaining players...

I believe all six New England states have their own buildings down at the far (west?) end of the fairgrounds. The main fair event ("The Big E") takes up most of the September events calendar on the property. But other than that, the old arena hosts a series of events that pretty much goes...Eddie Shore, the Indians' Calder Cup Dynasty & Ice Capades

Gotta look at it this way ... as a fifth round pick four (4) years ago, Reid isn't exactly high on the Preds' prospects list, but he's still relatively young for a 4 year D-1 player (he'll turn 23 next Fall). After a typical UNH pattern of stagnant development over his first three seasons, Reid actually...

What was done to McCloskey is something that's been a dark shadow over both UNH programs since it happened.
As to Jones and Faber ... there aren't too many paying jobs for women in D-1 coaching, so you'd have to think they both keep their thoughts to themselves, as a paycheck in their field...

Only surprised that Mucinex hasn't shown up in the portal (yet). One possible read on that is Hellsten may have told MS7 he is leaving to go pro so Souza has given assurances to this year's back-up that he'll get lots of rope next Fall.
Frankly, that would be a pretty disappointing development....

If you hockey diehards want to search out a hockey rarity while you're in the area ... head on over to the Big E fairgrounds on the other side of the river from downtown Springfield. Stranded in the middle of the property is Eastern States Coliseum, an old converted hockey arena now mostly used for...

Fair take. Certainly seems the level of recruits the last couple of years has crept forwards. Not leapt - crept.
Cafarelli has been a four year tease, and Lindner has been a nice spare part, but not much more than that.
It would be nice to see at least one of...

Hardly surprising. As has been typical ... decent frosh season, and then flatlined on development and production.
Pretty much a forgotten spare part by the end. Guess his 5th season will be spent elsewhere ......

Studying the lower depths of the human gene pool, and less complex single-cell life forms (i.e. you).
It's been a fascinating case study so far. Please, just continue as you are. I'll let you know when the report is done....

28 years ago tonight ... the greatest rivalry in the last generation-plus of NHL history erupted, burning hot for the better part of a decade. Red Wings v. * jumping into the fray with my English-to-Maine translation services *
chickod is clearly telling CornellFan13 that despite CF's claims that people (including the Colgate kid) are jumping to conclusions about how Cornell plays the same boring hockey as usual without even so much as watching...

Leave it to UNH to screw up their first notable legacy get in most of our lifetimes ... unless the player or his family (and of course, his Dad was MS7's linemate for long stretches of their shared time at UNH) want him to spend another season preparing for the move to D-1, Sadowski should be matriculating...

It's gonna be absolutely fascinating (possibly telling) to see what transfer portal activity looks like in the not-too-distant future, plus a Hellsten decision. As much as Carfagna was missed this season, an upperclassman version of Carfagna has left a hole in the future recruiting matrix that hasn't...

It's just SO UNH ... do the hard stuff (sweep Northeastern, take two from UMaine, add wins against tourney teams BU, Quinnipiac and RIT, and uncharacteristically sweep 3 against UML) ... and gack against the doormats down the stretch. Good luck compiling that combination of wins next season. Coach...

Mostly rain and sleet at the WIS Estate yesterday, such a mess, got the WIS crew out there early today to clean it all up! ;-)
MS7 to show up at the Women's FF game today? What, is there something in it for him?? Witt - sure. Souza?? lololololol ......

Jeez, it's barely 20 years old at this point, what's the issue?? Maybe not cutting edge with all the bells and whistles, but perfectly fine for a city of its size, and one that currently lacks a hockey tenant(s). Help me with the details that make it "outdated"?? I mean, I could come up...
