I think moderation is getting a bad rap here. The issues seem more on the networking/server side....

Yeah, that would be grading, any trenches, dry wells, etc. And there are two areas - one of them has some kind of power buried and also my irrigation system lines. The other is under a big stone patio and also needs to cross irrigation lines. Neither are simple. And this is a very old neighborhood so...

I got quotes to replace all my gutters and am awaiting quotes to improve drainage. I'm going to guess they will combine at $10-12k, but we'll see. It sure would be nice to have a dry basement.

Thanks! I suspect I won't hear anything from old company for at least several days. What's even more fun is that there isn't a single HR contact number for the parent company, they refer you directly to your "home" hospital... but I don't have one of those since I worked directly for the ...

Oh yeah? So here are the dates:
March 28th - last day at old job.
Final pay period was two weeks later (bi-weekly pay sucks) and was obviously only for 1 week's worth of pay.
April 1st - new job starts
May 1st - new insurance begins
I had planned...

I mean, that's nice and all, but where has he been?
Between this and the NY Post with a full page front page spread about MTG being in the bag for Putin, it's clear that we're seeing a concerted effort from whatever passes for mainstream GQP these days to distance themselves from the lunatics....

So my old company's HR apparently hasn't offboarded me at all, even though my last day was almost a month ago. I'm still listed as active in AD and in Workday. Meanwhile, I got a planned PTO payout and my last check and another unexplained direct deposit? But no word on COBRA as I'd requested. No word...

I don't know that I'd accuse anyone of being cheap. I can't imagine USCHO gets a ton of revenue and message boards, while not being super expensive, aren't free.

There's a lot more to the story, including possible allegations that Shapiro really went to bat for his piece-of-garbage friend. It seems that there isn't enough smoke for the media...

I would not be surprised if he and/or his senior staff are communicating this to select friendly state congress critters. Even if there isn't more than what we've seen, now is the time for contingencies....

... anyway...
Josh Shapiro should be added to the watch list as well, although there are rumblings of potentially disqualifying issues regarding friends/associates and sexual harassment that may come to haunt him.

I'll guess it was never pressing, but who could know with the 2024 version of the GQP....

This happens every time the governor is on the minority party. It happened here in MA around when Ted Kennedy died. It's super frustrating....

Totally agree. She will say anything that she finds politically expedient.

So I'm having some serious drainage and basement seepage issues. I just scheduled one company to come out and survey the area. Complicating matters is that I have a beautiful weeping cherry tree, some buried power lines, and an installed irrigation system right in that area, so it isn't just a matter...

The fact that Eva Bronze came out against this ruling tells you all you need to know about where the country is on abortion rights.

The sun is insanely bright, and even at 7% it's plenty to light things up. Crazy, isn't it?...

I saw a totality in high school and it was incredible. I've seen two 90/95% coverage and meh.
Today was neat. Got a little dim. The birds shut up. My cat was not loving it.
