As for (14) A pipeline for goaltenders, looks like Ryan Grout is slated to arrive for the 1925/26 season. However, if Jakob Hellsten goes pro and does not return for 2024/2025, we may be in deep trouble as I think that Hellsten is the main reason that MS7 got his contract renewed. Should Hellsten leave,...Last edited by Snively65; Yesterday, 10:58 AM.

Cafarelli now listed in the transfer portal spreadsheet hosted by gopher something, the one that comes up on top in a google search....

Got it, thanks. Yup, Luke Reid drafted by Nashville (#166 overall) in 2020. Nashville tied for fifth in West at the moment and 10 points above the playoff threshold, so doubt that Reid would see any ice time on their NHL team this season....Last edited by Snively65; 03-27-2024, 10:18 AM.

I think that you are absolutely correct about Louis Lindner, and he should not be going anywhere. We really need the Austrian and the Swede to be back for their senior years. But why do you say that Reid would have to go because he was recruited?...

Agreed on Cafarelli, whom I think takes too many stupid penalties, and I would be fine were he to be replaced by Sadowski.
But, I do not see much help arriving to supplement our blue line, and was not much impressed by Fitzgerald this past season. I thought that Lindner was a fine portal...

I guess that if you want to call Gendron’s frosh year decent at 2 goals and 4 assists in 16 games in a short season, that is reasonable given the mediocrity of the team. But, I think that his flatlining was a sign of better recruits that began producing straight away, which is what MS7 used to...

Excellent ideas! Also, north on Rte 5 along with Yankee Candle is the Historic Deerfield village and museum and a Tree House Brewery, creators of some of the finest craft beers anywhere. Along Rte 5 north in Holyoke is a wonderful roadside reservation where several species of theropod...

I heard that the portal opened for undergrads today and closes on March 31st, but that closing sounds too early, especially compared to what I remember last spring.
In any case, I do not see any UNH players in the portal yet, so maybe that is a good sign....

How about if CC had not lost to newcomer Augustana College (who?) at the beginning of the season, the Tigers would have made the NCAA’s, along the RIT Tigers....

About half done with snow removal, as needed to take a break.
Agreed that MS7 should not be wasting any time “being seen” locally as he needs to spend every waking moment lobbying his best players not to leave via the portal and attending as many Penticton Vees BCHL playoff...

Got 22” to 30” in the North Country. Biggest snowstorm in several years for [Joe] Thornton, NH. Woo hoo!...Last edited by Snively65; 03-24-2024, 07:55 AM.

Angus Crookshank scored the winning goal in 5-2 win against Devils tonight, his second NHL goal.Last edited by Snively65; 03-23-2024, 10:05 PM.

I think just by walking around the concourse and looking at the fans around me in the stands on my one visit to the Whitt this season with your ticket, HRef, that I can fully agree with Grouchy (i.e., it takes one to know one :-) ).
How many Grouchy’s do we have posting here now?...

Stands to reason, as why should fans attend games at the Garden or the local Regionals if their team is MIA?
But, good for fans returning to the Whitt this past season, which should continue next season if Hellsten and the first line stay out of the portal and the MacPherson twins are...

I had not visited this thread in a while. Read a couple of pages at the beginning in 2019, which was illuminating, to say the least....

Maybe EZAC will get the same number of teams into the NCAA’s as HEA, three each?

Yup, Denver was the No. 1 seed in that 2010 East Regional, Cornell the No. 2.
Must have been Conklin in net at the 2000 West Regional as he got all but two decisions that went to Matt Carney in that 23-9-6 season.
Conklin 21st all-time in UNH alums with most NHL games played...

Yup, close, Chuck. Niagara beat UNH 4-1 at Mariucci in the West Regional first round on 24 March 2000. I cannot find the box score at the moment.
UNH was also Umiliated the other two times that we have played Niagara. We lost 5-2 at the HSBC Arena on 25 October 2003 with Mike Ayers in net;...

Bobo was before my time here, but my guess is that he would say that the UNH Athletic Department has turned most of the fans who post here into psychotics. Chuck and others would be better qualified to answer....
