WMU is a strange team. I think they rank in the top 10 or 12 in both offense and defense this year. Their advance stats are dynamite. I watched them play two games at North Dakota and thought they were the best team I'd seen this year. I think the "expected goals" in those two games were...

North Dakota's penalty kill maybe hasn't been as good as they would like, but one thing to note is that they did have one ridiculously bad game on the penalty kill against CC, I believe. Maybe 4 or 5 pp goals. If you look at the penalty kill stats for every game in ND's season except for that one,...

I believe that both the men's and women's bb tournament still have "host" institutions, but I think they handle them differently. On the men's side, I'm pretty sure that it's a rule that the host institution cannot have its team play at that site, so, exactly the opposite of men's hockey....

More than anything, it's bad losses. WMU didn't have any, CC and St. Cloud did.
St. Cloud played 8 of 10 out of conference games against CCHA teams, a pretty terrible conference, and went 4-4. Colorado lost at home to Augustana and went 0-1-1 at home against ASU. Those are killers, especially...

#1 - 8-1
#2 - 8-1
#3 - 5-4
#4 - 6-3...

I can get six NCHC teams in. Bemidji, RIT, Michigan win. BU over BC. SCSU over Omaha. QU over Dartmouth.

First off, a comment on your picks. I think if WMU beats SCSU, they would play ND, not CC vs. ND. I think they re-seed for the Frozen Faceoff.
I tend to think UND beats Miami in two, although Miami played them tough this year given the Persson situation.
I also like CC in...

Honestly, North Dakota hasn't played well since they swept Denver in late January. Some have argued that they had nothing to play for this past weekend, but they have definitely been a different team on the road (7-6-1). Schlossman has suggested a lot of that has to do with having last change, but...

How about this: #3 North Dakota, #4 Denver, #13 Western Michigan, #14 St. Cloud....
