Is that the same rink as the Hartford Whalers used to play at? The one attached to a shopping mall?
Went there once to see Maine/Cornell. It was a pretty good place to watch hockey. But driving back and forth was a bit confusing. 91 had left lane exits there, and plenty of traffic to negotiate...

I'm a bit biased, but I've never heard a better D-3 hockey guy than Ray. He actually knows how the process works....

Thanks, guys.
Back when I wasn't so ancient (I'm talking only a couple of years back) there wouldn't have been any way in the world that I would've balked at making the easy drive to Hartford to see a couple of local teams in the FF.
These days, the old **** isn't even considering...

After Irsay abducted the Colts under the cover of darkness I immediately abandoned them, and was without a team for a couple of years. Then my brother married a girl from Green Bay and fetched her up to Lincoln, Maine.
Problem solved. I adopted The Pack.
My SIL grew up across...Last edited by Fishman'81; Today, 05:01 PM.

I'm not having any luck finding a listing for a stream for the game. Anyone know how to watch it..?

The only better statistical model above the PWR is the KRACH, and there's almost no meaningful difference there anyway, at the end of the day.
We're good right now....Last edited by Fishman'81; Today, 09:59 AM.

And, especially, the ones that bolster your PW/RPI.
Conference tournament games shouldn't count any more than any other games, nor any less.
But the AQ's throw a wrench in the works.
Can't complain about this season, though. We are seeing the most deserving teams...Last edited by Fishman'81; Yesterday, 09:36 PM.

There's absolutely no reason to whine about anything regarding this year's FF.
It's completely perfect, vis-a-vis the PW.
What else could a reasonable person possibly want, via the process..? More smoke?Last edited by Fishman'81; Yesterday, 09:27 PM.

True, and she had several aliases last year as well.
Best just to scroll past her BS, Shabby... I do.
Haven't even been tempted to read what a de-facto 14 YO girl would type on here. It's a complete waste of time.
(And sorry about Colgate. Outplayed The Larries...Last edited by Fishman'81; Yesterday, 08:47 PM.

I smell a really fun game. Hobart is clearly the better team on paper, but Utica isn't far behind. Neither team will bring enough fans to tilt it one way or the other.
And if Hobart wins, I'm all about that Statesmen in the final.
Call me a homer, but I always root for our...

We're ALL terminal.
Might as well live as you want to. Father Time is undefeated....

Damn, you're as old as me, if you remember THAT!
My Dad was from Maine. For whatever reason, he loved Johnny Unitas, and that made me a Baltimore fan.
I was a kid when Broadway Joe won that one. It still hurts to remember Orr all alone in the end zone during the opening drive....

Wish you would have posted a video. Would have been a fun watch....

Hobart has owned Utica for pretty much the duration of the latter's existence. And this Hobart team looks to be the best iteration that Utica has faced.
So, yeah...
BUT, if Roberts is on his game, the boys certainly have a shot....

This is his 2nd FF, and I think that this team's depth is as good as it's ever been.
And the goal-tending is far, far better than it was last year.
Who knows? Might get some hardware on the bus ride home this time around.
Edit: quoted the wrong guy, but you all...Last edited by Fishman'81; 03-16-2024, 10:10 PM.

So, who should we be rooting for?
I suppose that if UMass gets eliminated, Maine will have a pretty safe shot at Springfield..?
Not sure about the other game, but it seems to me that a BU win helps keep Maine East as well.
(I'm all for equitable seedings and sitings,...Last edited by Fishman'81; 03-16-2024, 04:13 PM.

Oh, I definitely would go with Boo. I don't think we'll see Victor again this season, barring an emergency....

I don't really think that there's a consensus re: what constitutes Downeast, but my 2 cents is that it's all of Washington County, and the Eastern half of Hancock County. Period.
(I was engaged to a girl from East Machias, and her family felt the same way, FWIW.)...
