UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

If it hasn’t changed after 15-16 games, I have little confidence that it will in the last 15-16 games. Who is that on? Coaches? Captains? Season is half over…
IMO, that's on the captains. No way Scott or Jimmy would let that shit slide. My sophomore year we had a couple of players who felt they were special and Jimmy and a few of the defensemen set them straight right quick at practice.

Here's a little history to help pass the time until the game:

Maine first entered the national poll (WMPL) in the second week of January in 1981.
Maine was ranked #1 for the first time on November 16, 1987, Maine would be ranked #1 again the next week, then the Bears and Goofers would trade the top spot for most of the rest of the season.
Maine would be ranked #9 in the 1988 preseason poll.
Maine was ranked #1 in the 1991 preseason poll. (We would finish 31-4-2)
Maine was #2 in the 1992 preseason poll (Michigan) but went to #1 in week 2 and never relinquished the top spot.

Sad to see Komarov come out, I like his game. Djurasevic being scratched is deserved with his recent play. 13 forwards is not usually the look they go for, interested to see how it works out.

Komarov struggled hard last night but the 13 forwards is interesting...up tempo attack to put UNH on their heels since they love the trap so much?

Ugh, Califiore skates it all the way down to behind the Maine goal for no apparent reason, the dishes to Usereau, who promptly coughs up a turnover, UNH guy wheels without anyone bodying him up, rips a shot for a goal.

So disappointing to see multiple misplays stacking up killing momentum.

Tied at 1

I just dont understand playing califiore, he doesn't know what to do with the puck.
Im ok with sitting 44 and lipinski.
Dont like sitting komarof didnt have a great game last night but mostly has been a beast out there. Other players werent at their best either. Maybe he is an attitude issue??

Recruit, recruit, recruit.
