Quinnipiac Bobcats 2025-26 - Viva Las Vegas!

Well, it was bound to happen sooner than later. First loss to Yale since 2018. 17 straight victories up until tonight. What remarkable streak!

I know we're down on the Bobcats, but let's give credit to Yale. They played a heck of a game and deserved to win tonight.

I said that to myself last night. Yale deserved to win. This team is like the 2017-2018 team that last lost to Yale. Tons of shots and no pucks in the net. Shooting bad angles. I hope they regroup after the embarassment. No easy one at Brown tonight either.

This team seems to play to the level of their opponent. That is concerning.

They're not respecting their opponents. We took that 2-0 lead in the first period and they thought it would be cakewalk from there. Dropped their intensity.

A loss and a tie to two of the weaker ECAC teams sure feels like lost weekend to me.

For a team that prides themselves on conditioning, tonight makes three games in a row with 3rd periods spent running around chasing the opposition.

And I've lost almost all faith in both goalies. Time to give Scopa a chance.

I'm guessing there won't be much fun at practice this week...

Just what the doctor ordered!

A nice well balanced effort all around. And possibly the best performance I've seen out of Marinov. BU had nothing for us all night.

BU has so much talent, that was quite a performance to silence them. I think they had 19 draft picks on the lineup sheet tonight, but they weren't ready to compete.

Meanwhile for us, I have to think that was our most complete performance of the year. Dominant from the opening faceoff to the final whistle.

Really nice job tonight against a very physical Clarkson team. They were much bigger and really asserted their size all game. We seem to go down and bounce right back up, not letting them intimidate us. Wilmer was like the little kid on the playground. He'd get hit, get laid out on the ice and jump right up and get in the face of whoever hit him. It was actually fun to watch.

Nice to se Pelosi get the hatty... he's been working hard all season and certainly earned it tonight.

Another great game from Marinov as well. Was well positioned all game, made some big saves and didn't give up any bad rebounds. Maybe he's turn the corner? It will be interesting to see if he gets the start tomorrow.

On a personal note, I'm going to miss my first two non-COVID related games next week as my wife and I are travelling to South Carolina for the holiday. That will make four games (the first two were in 2023 when I had COVID) in 19 seasons... I guess I'm a fair weather fan after all! ;)

That's impressive, Mark! Safe travels.

That got me thinking...I'd love to find out how many fans have had season tickets since The Bank opened in January 2007. I know there's quite a few, including myself. Perhaps next season, when we celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Bank, we can get everyone together and reminisce the last two decades up on York Hill.

Thanks Drew!

Been a heck of a run but all good things must end. Time to start a new streak!

Hard to believe it's almost 20 years! Seems like yesterday when I walked into the building for the first time and instantly became a fan of the team and the game.

Drew,
My wife and I have had season tickets from the opening of the "Bank" in 2007. It is hard to believe that almost 20 years have past. We have a group of friends from section 113 that we have had so much fun over the years, especially all three FF that we have attended. Several of us are going to the Florida Panthers game on Jan. 19, to show Collin Graf our QU gold. It looks like we will have another good year, our potential is developing along with the improved goaltending. See you Wednesday- Happy Thanksgiving to the Bobcat nation. Jim

Merrimack fan here, but got down to see the Saturday night game against St. Lawrence. Difference in speed was astounding. St. Lawrence looked like they were skating in slush compared to the Bobcats. Sitting at the end of the arena gave a great view on QU's breakout; crisp, solid passing, coming out with speed. 4-2 final was really misleading.

They played a solid first 2 periods then it all went sideways. But once Marinov gets rattled he loses confidence that and a couple of weird goals one that looked it went in off his back almost lost them the game. But give him his due Marinov did make a great save in overtime and kept them in the game. He seems to do good when play is up close but has issues from farther away. Not sure what is up but haven't seen Silverstein on the bench last 2 games.

Weird game but a win. We continue to play to the level of the competition. As well as Marinov has played at times, he lets in a lot of soft goals. Huge save by him in OT. Stonehill will not be easy either. Hopefully team is focused on Sat.

Stonehill is coming off a tie (shootout win) against UConn in Hartford. Despite their 1-12-1 record, Stonehill has played some top teams tough: Penn State (2-3, 2-4), Northeastern (0-2, 2-4), UMass (1-4) and UConn (3-3). You can bet Stonehill is going to bring their A game to Hamden on Saturday.
