Tough weekend at home against 2 good and very big teams. No longer unusual to see rosters with guys 6'6" or 6'7" and 235 pounds even as forwards. Just looking to see a little progress against these 2 HE teams as we prepare for the ECAC schedule. I would love to see us play well on special teams and of course see us demonstrate tight defense and good goal tending but just seeing us more cohesive than the past couple years would be great. Go Red!!!!!!!!

Doc, one of the things that I have noticed about this team is we no longer make blind passes.
We have more respect for the puck in our defensive zone.
Also, they seem to want to make sure that the puck gets over the blue line when defending our end.
I would just like to see them play a full 60 minutes. They seemed to run out of gas against the last two opponents.

Agreed - not sure if we ran out of gas or the opponents made some sort of adjustments. Perhaps it takes 40+ minutes for them to figure out what we are doing. We will get more information from the next 2 games.

tough tough weekend doc. Like you said just looking for improvement in special teams/structure and defense. BC is loaded no doubt. Looking forward to seeing some future NHLers.

I have seen both these teams on TV this year. BC is another one of those very good teams. I think of them as a slight step below BU but we played BU as an exhibition and i am not so sure they went full throttle for the entire game against us. BC will be a handful but hoping we catch them on an off night. PC is different. I do not see them as quite the level of either of the Boston clubs but I absolutely have great respect for their coaching. Again, really difficult game for us but perhaps a different style of play. Both teams are huge both on defense and up front and it will be interesting to see if we can handle that kind of size.

Providence is a heavy team. Both teams are a real challenge.
