Happy Election Day Michigan friends

"michigan democrats
- won all statewide races
- won both sc seats
- won all the props
- will likely flip the state senate for the first time since 1986
absolutely insane performance"

They didn’t win both SC seats. The incumbents won but that was a split. The second Dem endorsed justice is going to lose by about 100k.

But, still a great night. There’s a very good chance they control all three branches with a slim majority in the state house as well.

Fuck yeah! Proud of my home state today!!

At a glance the D's seemed to have a perfectly cromulent performance.

Dare I have confidence with the impending MAGA/DeSantis split of the R side of things?

What votes are left to count in NV? Are there enough in Clark county (or perhaps early votes) that might favor Cortez Masto?

Same question for Warnock - are there enough votes in DeKalb county and Fulton county to push him over the 50% threshold?

Not just perfectly cromulent, but the best midterm performance in like a hundred years that didn't involve the specter of planes flying into aunt bee's apartment complex

Ralston, Nevada election expert, said if there's around 100k mail-in ballots remaining in Clark, which he said is plausible based on turnout, and Democrats win those 2-1 as they have so far, that's 66,000 votes-33,000 votes (+33,000) votes. Cortez-Masto is down 22,000 votes. Ralston said Washoe has 16k outstanding mail-in ballots, which has skewed slightly Republican. Sisolak has a higher hill to climb, but he said he still has a chance too. Ralston had predicted Cortez-Masto in the Senate and GOP challenger Lombardo in the Governor's race before the election.

Media as all in on the GOP last night and throughout the election. That's just a fact. Social Media as well. I had to laugh at the about face on Morning Joe this morning. All of the sudden Democrats were getting credit. It was hilarious. I did enjoy that the Spanberger reaction I had was widespread. I didn't think I was too far offbase there.

It was America. A mixed bag. Where Republicans never really get punished hard for the things they love and do (Jan 6th, elimination of a 50 year woman's right to choose) while Democrats get punished hard for what should be just minor mistakes (CRT, Defund the Police). That's how it goes.

We all have to get up in a country that can deny Abrams, and Ryan, and Demings office while reelecting per scum like Rubio and Abbott. We also have to accept that JD Vance is going to be a US Senator. And for crying out loud, Ron Johnson might be reelected? AYFKM? He masturbates with Jan 6th, and Election Denying playing on the TV in the background.

Women are officially protected in Kentucky (for now). Might be the biggest upset of the night. The number of ticket splitters is in the hundreds of thousands.

I’m not really surprised. Any time rights on the ballot in a up or down vote they are going to win.
