Manchin should just go independent and caucus with whoever is in power that cycle. I understand he votes with Democrats a lot but not on the legislation that really matters. Anybody can do what he does.

Uh... tammy baldwin isn't a Republican.


Also, lmao, Dianne Feinstein doesn't even know what day it is. I don't buy for a second that she's had that much increase in popularity. I also don't buy that Mike Lee hasn't gained in popularity.

Not everybody can do it coming from WV, though. He’s a Dem senator in a state that went +40 GOP in 2020. Manchin has by far the biggest WAR of any senator. Once he leaves, WV is red indefinitely. Without him nothing would be getting done, not even judicial nominations.

If the Dems can pick up two in November and make him irrelevant, great, but right now he’s the only person stopping McConnell from full obstruction… again.

Lee could be losing popularity because he's been trying to both sides Dump. He won't gain any Dems because he's still a fiend, but he can lose Dump's cultists for insufficient submission.

Yes. This. As awful as Manchin is, any Republican is far worse.

I'm not sure that's true. I thought he's moved as far into the deep end as any senator since 11/3/2020. Relatively speaking.

Early. By the last few weeks, he was begging them to just stop, cause they wouldn't provide him the slightest shred of evidence that he could use to keep pushing the Big Lie.

That's how baseless their whole claim of stolen election/election fraud is. Their staunchest supporters are begging them, begging them, for any evidence or useful information they can use to then take to the state governments or outside influencers to recruit even more people to their cause, and the White House wouldn't do it!!!!

Because they couldn't do it.
 
Looks like Delgado (D-NY) is set to become the next Lt. Gov. of NY, vacating a seat that will now be a toss-up this fall.
