The level of incomprehensible stupidity coming from the right since the lastest school shooting should be all the proof anyone needs to know that these people will never act or cooperate in good faith on this issue. Never. There is not a single reasonable, responsible thing we can do that will have an actual effect that the right will agree to. Not a single thing.

So I believe the time has come for drastic measures, including confiscation. I say this as a concealed carry permit, legal firearm owner. I am absolutely willing to give up these rights. The time has come.

How many more times does it need to be shown we cannot responsibly allow this? These fucks, egged on by the likes of Tucker Carlson speak of civil war even when we fall short of talk of outright confiscation. It's like trying to appease Hitler with them. Just take the fucking guns. Unlike the brave souls on the Uvalde police department, I'd be willing to risk life and limb to get the assault-style weapons at the very least and melt them all down. Someone has to do it.

I can think of nothing more horrific than small children being massacred. And republicans lately have come up with a lot of horrific notions about what they think they have the right to do to some peoples' bodies. But nothing approaches the level of scared small children having to go through what happened in Texas. Nothing. Hell, for the surviving kids it might be even worse. Something has to be done.

When there's a controversy and one side says the important thing is that we heal and come together, then you know which side done fucked up.

The more info that comes up about this shooting the worse it looks...and it was already a 5 alarm fire of fuck ups!
