Legal: reading is good. I need to hit the bookstore one of these days, as there are a couple books out there I really wanna read, starting with "The Code."

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Right now I'm doing a bunch of non-fiction reading. I managed to get a copy of Supreme Power: Franklin Roosevelt vs. The Supreme Court from the library as soon as it was released.

        Nice!

I prefer non-fiction these days, unless it's something that really makes you think/is out there. Not that I read a whole lot but when I do.....

Another one on my list (well, it's non-specific, since I have to look into it more) is a book on the Three Kingdoms of China. The synopsis I got from Wiki piqued my curiosity, and there's a John Woo movie out (Red Cliff; from what I hear the international version is the one to see, which clocks in at 5 hours) that deals with the time period immediately before the Three Kingdoms, and it looks awesome.

Funny thing that the book that got me thinking about reading was a book about Economics... How Capitalism Saved America. And the book is as much about the politics of the time as much as the law.

              But yeah, I'm a law/economics/history nerd.

Brent - hmm... I might have to add that to the reading list.

                  Good Afternoon, Lodge!

So the Craft Fair went well. I broke even and made $8. That will be very well spent at the bar tonight.

At the fair, I saw this person that looked like the female version of George Wendt. That is f*ing crazy!

Hi kids. I hate when I immediately click on a poll thread not realizing it's the new one when I didn't see the end of the old one. Didn't realize the other one was close to closing. Went back to read, and all I have to say is...

I'm SO proud of my little sis!!!

Hope you're feeling OK today 'diva.

Checked into the hotel earlier today. Walked to the convention center, checked out the progress of our booth. Looks good. Walked up and down Summer Street where we have banners out - they look awesome. Went back to meet with my co-workers for a conference call about table assignments at the big dinner on Monday. It was like doing seating assignments for a wedding. Then my co-worker, who is the person responsible for everything with regards to our presence at this conference, gets an email from one of the big wigs that one of his customers forgot her tickets to the Red Sox game (we're hosting some customers at tomorrow's game) and she needs to take care of this. She was a little stressed, so I told her "They have a game tonight - there are people at Fenway. Let me try." And managed to call around enough to get a live person who tracked down the person she needed to speak to and we got it all straightened out. Then she gets another email right then from the bigwig asking if the issue was resolved. I told her to email him, tell him that you got a voicemail and the guy said he could take care of it and he would call you once the game got underway (after 7pm)to tell you what to do. And make said bigwig stew for a few hours.

It's gonne be a fun few days, I can just tell! I'm having a few drinks tonight.
