On my way to Minot, ND to see my grand kids. Flew from Bradley in CT to MSP with not 1, not 2, but 3 screaming kids AND 2 barking dogs!
I can't believe the number of people travelling with dogs. Must've seen 20-30 at the airport. Big ones, little ones... and nothing ID'd as a service dog that I could tell.

Mark - I haven't flown in a while so I'm happy someone is picking up the mantle!
Things are going OK with me. I've been spending a lot of time at my mom's - she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in January. Physically she's fine but she just has no short term memory. She lives by herself but I feel like I'm pretty much her roommate at this point. Thankfully I'm allowed to work remotely from here a few days a week. Finally in June I arranged for a home health aide to come in two days a week so that I could be in the office the two days a week we're required to do. Bunch of fits and starts - she did come most of that time. Then yesterday I got a call from the agency that she quit. Not because of my mom, she quit the agency. I didn't ask why. They said they were working hard to get someone to come in today and tomorrow. I said don't rush, I'm here so I stayed one more night. The new person is starting next week.
This agency is on a short leash. I'm actually going to start calling a few others to get rates and how many days/week, etc. I don't trust them. My mom is very easy. She just likes watching TV. She doesn't drive any more. She doesn't cook, but she snacks. I told the aide that quit "this will be like a vacation for you. I hope you like Judge Judy!" I am basically hiring someone to make sure she takes her meds every day. She's not on very many and two of them are just vitamins so if she misses a day it's no big deal. Still, I want her to take them.
Good morning Lodge. It's Tuesday. And, well, you know.
Went to a physical therapy intake session this morning for my foot. Back in November I had minor surgery to remove a small bunionette on the outside of my left foot that somehow grew after my extensive surgery in 2019. At the moment, it's worse now than it was before the November surgery. My baby toe no longer sits flat and the and joint is stiff and I'm actually in pain. Doctor recommended PT for now and possibly an MRI soon. The PT said there's not that much she can do but she will work the joint so the toe starts to lay flay but she thinks, as do I, that I may need to have a follow up surgery to fix it. I'm sure there's scar tissue but I don't think scar tissue is causing the sharp pain. But what do I know. What I do know is I think the doctor did a lousy job and I shouldn't be charged if he has to go in and fix it.
