Learning the history and actually suffering through it are very different things. You simply can't appreciate a title as much if you don't suffer through a lot of failure beforehand. To put it another way, if MNS ever gets any, he'll appreciate the experience on a far deeper level than the rest of us did when it was our first time, simply because he's gone far longer and failed far more than we ever did.
I have no idea how anyone in my building got furniture in here. I bought a couch and chaise and the couch would not fit in the elevator or up the staircase. GAH!!! I'm so mad!! I measured my living room. Figured the elevator was a size that could take any kind of furniture. Apparently not. They left the chaise (which I LOVE) and the coffee table and two end tables. I may have to get rid of the chaise as it is huge and find a sectional sofa so they can bring it up in pieces. The couch I got rid of was a sectional - three pieces - and was larger than the couch I bought but because it was a sectional, they were able to get it out of here. I am so frustrated. I bought this on October 17 and it took that long to get it. Now I won't have a new couch till probably February.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Finally done the Semester. Man so much work to hold students accountable. DOne.
There are 23 openings for instructors next semester. They pay the same $ per section taught that I got this Semester but responsible to cover the students 2 days of the week, travel to different sites, could be any time of day or night and have a post conference on a separate day. And they don't tell you where you would be going to cover until the week you start- I could be traveling an hour + each way in the middle of the night. All the nopes. So glad I didn't teach last Spring and ended up not being in a financial hole. Not even guilty about saying no.
Evening, Lodge. Crappy work week, crappy day at work. Unemployment is rampant of course, yet we are begging for workers. Ugh.
But, the new Mando ep and some good beer are helping ease the pain.
