Happy New Year Lodge peeps! Hope you were all able to celebrate safely. I stayed in, had a delicious lasagna for dinner, opened a bottle of wine, popped some popcorn, watched some WJC hockey...it was delightful.

Today I’m going to attempt to make New Year’s bread. It’s a Greek tradition. Probably should’ve been made earlier to eat this morning. I won’t be putting any coins in the loaves. Wish me luck. I only made this once and while it tasted fine, the dough did not rise as much as I think it should. And that could be because of my lack of patience. I’ll provide an update!

Had a couple different Zooms last night, watched the CNN hosts get absolutely trashed (which is always great entertainment), and today is a bonus Pile Sunday (I mean, Friday).

My bread came out pretty good! Man, it really is an all day affair. And quite a bit to clean up now. With all that being said, I’m kinda proud of myself for how it came out.

Belated birthday wishes Ralph!!

Took my tree down today. Haven’t brought down to storage yet but everything is packed up, put away gifts. Did some cleaning, re-set up my office for ease of transition back to work tomorrow. I am so not motivated for work.

i made salmon for dinner tonight, with a salad and sautéed string beans. I’ve been eating like crap the past couple of weeks, I need to start eating better now that all the holiday stuff is over.
