Evening, Lodge. Got 1600+ cases of Purell sanitizer in yesterday. I thought "Oh sh*, here we go." THANKFULLY, higher-ups are putting together priority orders, and releasing the orders slowly. Otherwise I'd be FOOKED. With no Vaseline.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Looks like about 6-8 inches out there but hard to really tell because of the drifting. Very light snowfall right now but radar looks like more to come. We'll see what it looks like in a couple of hours...

I know I'm not allowed to post or complain about snow or how it affects people here because nothing that happens here in MA can ever live up to other parts of the US but will just say this - I think we're at about a foot of snow as of 11am. Maybe a little less. Hard to tell. I usually would use the table in the pool area as my gauge. It was an elevated and flat surface and I could see it from my window. But the management company removed it. Curses!! It does look like it's slowing down and getting brighter. Not sure if we'll get another burst.
Got about 8-9" here in Worcester. Good first use of the new snowblower! It isn't over so I'll need a round two, but that's fine. At least it's mostly done.
I gotta little bit of smoke and a whole lotta wine...

We get cold, not snow, really. And it's been a really mild winter so far. I don't think highs for the day have dipped below freezing yet, and I am thankful. Although being a Minnesotan, I expect to pay for that in Jan/Feb.

Good Afternoon Lodge!
Got a little over 13 inches. Light and slick. The guy with the humvee struggled like the devil to get the driveway plowed for us. He has an army grade one and has plowed for yrs. It was fun to watch him spin halfway up the driveway. Crazy.
Trying to keep a positive attitude but not feeling it. My relatives (collective) are not good for my mental health.
My Stepmum called last evening to tell me they decided we should send our presents over on Saturday because there may be a storm on Christmas Eve. And they want to quarantine everything. THis after I had tried to pin them down and had my a55 chewed because it wasn't time to 'make a plan' yet. A lot of what they want needs to be baked. And it is labor intensive. I was supposed to be doing that next week.
Meanwhile my bro and his wife had set a time to talk about what they might like for Xmas- then I got an unhelpful email from one and a terse one from the other of them- after they texted less than an hour before we were supposed to talk and then when they did call they were pizzy because they had no idea what they wanted.
My uncle emailed me 3 times and called twice asking for ideas. I sent an email complete with links of what the things looked like= he called and after 20 min of roundaboutation told me he was going to send me a gift card and let me shop for myself.
Then lilnsl tells me he has done nothing. at. all. and his stuff is supposed to go in our boxes when we mail.
And while I am trying to get myself out of a funk that is incapacitating me, mum les calls, sounding tragic asking me to drive her somewhere. I have one in the house who is working with non-compliant covidiots and another that was exposed to the PC team (think Typhoid Mary). I say if it is an emergency we would have to drive with all the windows open- she needs to go to fvcking Best Buy. THIS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY! and we have restrictions specifically stating we are not supposed to cross the border into NH and NH doesn't want us. Constant reverse 911 calls telling us to stay home. And lilnsl is one of the people out there who is supposed to be enforcing this. Holy GOd. I ran out of tape and did not go to the store to get some because I am supposed to be staying in to protect people like her. I may lose my mind. She hung up on me.
I ordered personalized beach towels for my nieces for Christmas on November 30. Confirmation email said they would arrive on December 8. On December 11, I reached out to customer service because the tracking link from USPS made it indicate that they haven’t shipped it because they haven’t received it. After a four paragraph email from customer service that said pretty much nothing, and a response to that to which I received no response, I made a snide comment on one of their Facebook posts. That generated a DM and I thought it was a good resolution.
This morning I got an email that said they reordered the towels, that it will be no cost. Um, OK great. I just got another email from customer service saying they’re refunding my money. So...now I don’t know if I’m getting these items or not. I told the customer service on Facebook Messenger that I’d be ok with getting them late if they could confirm exactly where they were so I don’t know why they canceled my order. It would be funny if I got the towels and also got a credit.

I jinxed it. Projected high on Christmas Eve is 0. Whee.
