So NaSK talked through this with the little girl last night (I didn't get home until after she was asleep).
This morning she was in good spirits. Picked out her clothes, brushed her teeth, had breakfast. When it got time to leave home I could see her fighting back tears. She was trying so hard to be strong, it was a little heart breaking. The fighting back tears continued on the car ride. When we got to school the tears broke free. Teacher grabbed her hand and led her into the room.
A huge improvement over the 45 minutes of crying last time.

It is tough. We found a really great book when lilnsl was lil. It talks about how you can like school but still miss being at home. How it is OK to have mixed feelings about going somewhere. We still use some of the phrases we read inthe book and lilnsl is now 27!!!

We dealt with that briefly. Then I told lil that if he was so tired and cranky in the morning we stop TV at night (because it was over stimulating) and keep backing up his bedtime until we got it right and he woke up cheerful, ready to go to school. Ha. Lasted 2 days. Then he explained to me he was CHEERFUL and ready to go to school. We 'tried' the new time for a few days, then added TV back to 'see if it made a difference'.

Started the beginning of the end with my dental implant. It was "exposure" day! Meaning the surgeon exposed the implant so my dentist can get a mold and produce the permanent fake tooth. Calling my dentist later today to make the appointment for the mold to be made. I cannot wait for this to be over. It's a little sore right now, the novocain is wearing off. Hopefully I can wear my temporary fake tooth while I wait.

The convectors were switched from heat to AC yesterday, and of course it is in the 40s now. It happens every year.

I had no significant pain connected with my implant. OTOH, the crown on the implant has come off four times over the years -- two of which were while I was in the dentist chair for other reasons. I was told that a different glue is used to hold crowns on implants as opposed to when crowns are used on remnants of teeth and it doesn't bond.
