NaSK is very much in the doghouse today.
I get up this morning and don't see him anywhere, I guess he's sleeping in the other room but it's weird that he'd leave the door open. At 6:25 I'm about to get in my car to find that his car is not there. I start to worry. I knew he was going in to work today (he usually does on Thurs and Fri...works from home other days), but when he goes to work he's usually up at 6 and leaving just before 7. I had zero interaction with him this morning. I call him fearing he decided to go out last night and is in a ditch somewhere (I fell asleep before he came upstairs last night).
He answers. I ask if he's ok and where he is. "yeah, I'm almost to work" "oh, ok, I was about to leave for work but your mom [our childcare provider] isn't here yet, do you know when she'll be here?" "she's usually there about 6:30-6:45"
ugh, I'm gonna be late to work. I call my MIL to ask how far away she is. "still about an hour away. I texted [NaSK] to ask if he was going in today, he didn't respond"
crap, I'm gonna be more late. Walk back inside. Set computer up in office, start working, e-mail mgmt team that I'm going to miss our staff meeting. Daughter wakes up at 7:15. I take care of her for a bit, grandma finally shows up at 8.
Got to work 1.6 hours late. Still want to leave on time-ish 'cause there is home hockey tonight at 6:30. I think when I told NaSK about hockey (for the I don't know how many times) that is when he decided to go to work early, but didn't communicate that with anyone.

mr les family never acknowledges anyone leaving and he was used to just leaving without saying anything. We had a come to Jeebus talk fairly early in our marriage that this is not polite or acceptable. He was completely baffled.
lilnsl got a better upbringing- he was made aware very early he better say when he was leaving, coming back. Not because he was asking permission but because it prevented me worrying. THis also baffled mr les

good morning Lodge.
NaSK still has all his body parts. I've only spent about 2 minutes with him in the last 36 hours. We're good though. Husbands are hard to train.Originally posted by West Texas Wolverine
