20 year old Trevor Bayne wins the Daytona 500 leading the only important lap, the last one!

I thought he was a sitting duck. I'm still not sure what happened to Smoke and Martin.

So, who leads the points since Bayne registered as a Nationwide driver?

I'm glad to see someone like Bayne win.

That was an awesome ending to a race. Good for Trevor Bayne! I wonder if he will get a full time ride now?

Edit: who were the hotties in the Sprint jumpsuits with Bayne in victory lane? Are they the prize?

Tony was being pushed by last year's 88, that's what.

I am happy for Bayne. It was mentioned that he hadn't led yet, but much of that is from the guy he was pushing all day being black-flagged near the end.

It looked like Smoke missed a gear on the restart. About halfway around Turn 1/2, he was sinking into the field rapidly and simply ran out of time and track to get back up to the leaders.

Can anyone tell me how Robby Gordon continues to drive a car, he is a waste

Congrats to Trevor Bayne! That was a fun race. The new surface has certainly changed Daytona. It will be interesting to see how the July race goes there.

Really? I think he does pretty well for a shoe-string budget and he had a nice save, which led to Jr. going out, but that wasn't necessarily Robbys' fault. To answer your question though; he own da team.

Dirty - I'd be more suited to be the hockey coach at NDSU.

                            Yeah
Nice save when he lost it himself and it seems 9 times out of 10 he ends up the same way, wiping out others while he crashes once again

So I had Daytona on in the background yesterday, and I have to say I don't like the 2 car push draft crap. That's not racing.
