Any chance the Tigers take a chance on Jorge Cantu? He's been terrible this year, but has hit enough in the past, and makes less than $1 million that it might be worth it.

Well, he wasn't very productive last year, either. If Avila can show that he's not a butcher at 3B, I'm not sure why we'd want Cantu.

I thought he was still a second baseman, but I guess looking at it, he hasn't played there extensively since '06.

His power appears to be gone. His SLG has declined each of the last 3 seasons. Now, some of this year's fall can be attributed to San Diego, but that doesn't excuse the drop in 2009, or 2010.

Might as well discuss Cantu, or anything else for that matter. Apparently it's Turn Back the Clock night at Coors. The Tigers are playing like it's 2003.

Yes he was. I gave up after the Raburn gaffe. Score that run and maybe the Tigers had a chance at cracking Kershaw, tight game etc. Have to win the next two, even if the Central is proving to be quite futile.
