They did this on Monday as well when the Blackhawks netted an ENG to finish the game... I thought it was good, lol...

I really don't see the correlation to the NBA here. Him commiting his body that way makes Khabibulin go that direction. Trying to just fake that way isn't as convincing to the goaltender. Think your overreacting just a bit.

The spin move is a staple of PK Subban's game, and I love it.

It's one thing to spin a D-man, another to do it on a goalie. But that's just my personal opinion. Anyway, as Savard proves, you didn't need moves to score on Chevaldae!

Just comparing it to a spinning slam dunk -- just too much for me. Guess that's why I stopped watching bouncy ball after the Magic & Bird era.

Except he did it as a move to improve his chance of scoring, it was a move, like a deke or toe drag. Because he made that move he scored a goal. Doing a behind the back dunk or a spinning dunk doesn't help improve the odds of scoring.

Alex Kovalev traded to Pittsburgh for a 7th round pick (heh).

Anaheim and Tampa swap crappy goalies (McElhinny for Ellis).

                          Holy knee jerk reaction!

Eight months on the job, and the op/ed writer for the AJC is calling for his head:
And now, as much as I hate to say it, a time for accountability has come once again in Thrasherville. The exit door reserved for Thrashers head coaches should once again be unlocked and Craig Ramsay should be asked to follow behind Anderson, Hartley and Fraser.
It's not because the former ownership group (and thus the former GM) was hamstringed into signing crappy players (of the available crappy player pool that agreed to sign in ATL); it's not because of the injuries that have resulted in 1/2 the lineup being callups. No, no, it's all the coaches fault the Thrashers overachieved in December and made themselves look like playoff contenders.

My love of the Thrashers is waning lately. I can't wait till the Florida Panthers announce an affiliation deal with the Chicago Wolves.

I wouldn't say McElhinney is crappy. He did a decent job while Hiller was out recently.

Wait...are we talking the same guy? Who has lost his last 5 games while giving up 3, 4, 5, 7, and 4 goals? He's rotten!

Les Canadiens de Montreal just picked up Sopel and Dawes from Atlanta for Ben Maxwell and a 4th rounder.
