Hey folks,
So the girlfriend and I are meeting up some friends for the Dartmouth at RPI game on Saturday January 22nd. Puck drops at 4 PM (one of those strange ECAC afternoon starts). We will be driving from Amherst MA, which is about 2 hours on a good day. Our friends are driving in from Canton NY, a good 4 hour trip -- they'll probably join us before the game at Brown's Brewery Taproom in Troy for meal/drinks. After the game they are heading to a concert in Albany; the girlfriend and I will not be attending this concert.
My questions are as follows:
1) I've been to Troy and Schenectady only on hockey trips. Is there anything in the tri-city area besides hockey that may be of interest? Cool museums? Something along cultural lines... We are considering driving up in the morning and exploring until heading to Brown's around 2:30 pm.
2) Can anyone recommend a place to eat after the game? Something with good food, and casual enough to allow folks wearing hockey jerseys inside.
RPI and Union fans, maybe you can help?
