And now, 63-year old Mark Loretta is up w/ the bases loaded...

Matt Holliday cost his team the game. Brutal.

Hopefully this lowers his contract when Holliday hits FA.

This is a great time of year. It's like March Madness for baseball fans.

I just hope the late show doesn't disappoint.

Wow, Matt Holliday looked like me playing old fat guy softball.

I expect that from Manny, but my word, that was brutal to watch.

1-2-3 inning for Lackey...but 21 pitches to do it. Gonna be a short night for him at that rate, esp if Boston manages a few hits...

Lester got jobbed on that 2-2 pitch to Hunter. Got to regain composure.

Once upon a time Guerrero at the plate w/ the bases loaded would be antacid time. No longer. Pitcher could roll the ball to the plate, and he'd hack at it.

Triple post, but I don't care. That was a horrible call at 1st. Another free baserunner for Anaheim.

CB Bucknor? I have no idea how he keeps on getting playoff assignments.

Bucknor is worthless. That play wasn't even close.

I don't like to rag on MLB umps because I think they get a lot of the tough ones right. However, that was a very terrible call. Just flipped over and the TV was replaying it. Looked over and said, "what the hell are they reviewing, he was out?!?"

Saw the throw to first. Oh...

Very bad, agreed. They usually do better than that.

Not when "they" means CB Bucknor.

Usually the winner of "the worst umpire in MLB" voted on by the players.

But you know that awesome MLB, making sure the best umpires umpire in the playoffs!

8 pitch inning. Lackey's really settling down. So much for chasing him in the 5th or 6th inning.

Not sure about that ump--don't know him, can't comment. I'll take your word for it.

It does seem like there is extra scrutany(sp) during the playoffs. As it should be. Glad my job isn't watched that close in slow motion replay

At least the Halo's didn't score on the play.

(And I do have to admit that I'm currently watching Wild/Kings and didn't see the rest of the inning. The rate the hockey game is going, however, I don't think I'll be watching for much longer--at least until later when the Wild seem to be able to get it together.)

EDIT: Not many in the greater Los Angeles area are watching the game, either--at least at the STAPLES. I wonder what else might be going on in town
