    Nah, they let Eckstein go.

Isn't the umpire supposed to notice the ball hitting Vlad making it a dead ball...and the first base umpire realizing that you know, Vlad was safe.

    Fail all around.

By the way, everyone looks ridiculous trying to stay warm out there.

First game of the Phils-Dodgers was a hoot (particularly when you don't care who wins). Who was the used car salesman in the cornflower blue suit doing the on-field? Dude made Ahmad Rashad look professional.

"It took a bad hop," Pedroia said. "Our infield (stinks). It's the worst in the game."

Pedroia was obviously peeved, but did not back away from his statement.

"I'm not lying about that. That is true. I think about those things. That stuff upsets me," Pedroia said. "My job is to take 1,000 groundballs a day. Other guys' job is to get the field perfect so we can play baseball."

it was the field's fault, america

    Worst. Booth. Ever.

That annoying kid that did sideline reporting for the Little League World Series and Joe Morgan would be an improvement. Okay, scratch the Joe Morgan part. Bottom line: They suck.

As a Sox fan, that shot from Manny to Pedro made me tear up a little. God I miss those guys...
