              It's the ESPN bury their head in the sand philosophy. They only covered the NHL lockout because they wanted to bury the league. If they don't acknowledge the NBA lockout, it will go away.

                  But ESPN didn't start getting serious until a few days ago. There was the initial coverage when it happened, but then it went to the back burner. When the NHL lockout happened, they hammered it everyday.

                  I want ESPN circa 1995. They covered stories based on importance not what rights they held. The NBA was on NBC, but it was still covered fairly. Now that the NHL is NBC, the four-letter network could care less. It wasn't a hype machine like it is now. SportsCenter contained actually sports hi-lights that came from different sports regardless of the rights. It's pretty sad when a lockout and the Yanks-Sox 105,897 gets press over Game 7 of a Stanley Cup Final.

                      Monday you were complaining that ESPN was trying to hide Hank Williams' Jr.'s comments as why they pulled the opening to MNF. It was mentioned in the first ten minutes of Sportscenter after the game.

                      As far as the lockout goes, they bring it up when there's news. By your logic, they were also trying to destroy the NFL, since they talked about their lockout all day every day all summer. Even their personalities were openly sick of talking to lawyers.

                        Perhaps you are right. I'm just annoyed my favorite sport has been suffering because of perceived lack of coverage. I'm just annoyed that they only seem to be dwelling on the negative with the game I love. I actually like the NBA, but I just don't want it rammed my gullet and told how much better it is than than NHL. If I annoyed you, then I'm sorry. I'll try to not to be dumb in the future.
