That about sums it up. Sounds like he has been taking some of Cabrera's medicine, too.
I hope Ilitch is satisfied with the product he'll put on the field, because it will resemble Barnum and Bailey more than a MLB team. I hope Verlander can contain himself in order to see the same thing that Blanks sees in 2011, because he'll be mighty frustrated otherwise.
Oh- and did anyone catch Tom Gage's musings about professional athletes that died in 2009? One interesting note, with the passing of Dave Roberts and Mark Fidrych, the entire five man rotation from the 1976 team is gone. I still have that yearbook, with Milt May and Dave Roberts on the cover.
