Pathetic. At least the Tigers don't have to ever play at the condomdome again. Freaking turf hits, roof hits etc.

May have been the last game in a Tigers uniform for Everett, Polanco and Rodney.

Right now, I think Everett comes back, just because we don't have a ready-made SS in the minors just yet, and they don't want to play Santiago full-time, but Polanco and Rodney are likely goners. Scott Sizemore is close to being ready at 2B, and we're not going to pay the freight for Rodney, and I don't know what we're gonna do there. He had a helluva year.

In the final analysis - don't hang this one on Leyland.

If you can't push a run across with the bases loaded and no outs in extra innings against the 2nd pitcher from the closer in the biggest game of the season - you deserve what happened.

The team just wasn't good enough.

Tigers couldn't drive in RISP all year. Why change now?

Lloyd McClendon, you're remembered fondly for taking your base and going home ... but you're soooooo gone in the next couple days. Take your base and go home.

Wait a minute. This clown hit .225 for the year with minimal power or OBP. Why was the manager allowing this hitter to come to the plate not once, but TWICE tonight in a tie game, late in the game, once with 2 runners on (8th inning) and another with the bases loaded (the 12th)? Why was this guy at the plate in the first place? You have a left-handed hitting catcher who has hit about .300 or so, with more power sitting right there on your bench. I guess he was just guarding the Gatorade. We're pinch running guys left and right, but we're not going to put a quality hitter at the plate in arguably the most important at bats of the year? Sorry, I'm not buying it.
