For the same reason that calling the Times moderate doesn't work. Because there are too many smart people here. You can engage in issue framing all you want, but if you're going to be crazy about it, you'll need an audience that's stupid. Like a daytime AM radio audience, for instance. There are waaaay too many college (and grad school) grads around to pull it off @ uscho.1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 1993 1995 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2012(!)
