Nice to see Slowey take the good fortune of having the Texas HR taken off the board and give them the run anyways 2 straight hits later.

Cuddyer bounces to short, but he was leading off the inning so no double play.

I thought the Twins were playing the Rangers today?

Anyway, some team just got a 2-run double with the bases loaded to take the lead over the Rangers, and followed it up with a 2 run single after that.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Turns out that a trend isn't a rule?

People next to me at the game today were funny.

The guy was trying to tell his date/friend/whatever girl about baseball. Which is fine, except he didn't seem to know much at all.

He could only name 3 of the retired numbers. Again fine, but why did you bring it up if you didn't know 42 was for Jackie Robinson (couldn't come up with Carew and Oliva either)?

There were other little anecdotes, but you get the picture.

Did you at least wang-block him by telling him everything he was saying was wrong?

An announced crowd of 39,659, the largest crowd in Target Field's 26-game history, put the Twins over the 1 million mark already this season. It's the fastest they've reached the plateau in club history, surpassing the 31 games it took in 1988.
Woo I was part of a record crowd. For a little while at least. I am sure that will be broken sometime this year.

Oh Joe Morgan, how can you say such dumb things?

He finds it interesting that the Twins are a small market team but have a higher payroll than the Dodgers.

Really Joe? Do you think that has anything to do with the Dodgers owner going through a messy divorce in which his ownership of the team could be in question.

Also Joe did you notice the Twins have a new stadium this season? I hear that brings in more revenue.

                        At least John Miller's good.

On his own, he is okay. When he's with Morgan, there must be a clause in his contract to feed Joe's ego at least once every half inning. It's disgusting; Orel Hirshiser(sp) is doing it now, too

Miller has a good delivery and the correct pronunciation of Hispanic names is neat. Like Jose ME-Harris

Good work on Patrick Roy, too

I forgot he thought the Wild played at the Target Center earlier in the night. Surprisingly, the folks in the truck corrected him very quickly and he "apologized" to St. Paul
