Step back from the ledge folks, the sky isn't falling. It's not even June yet.

When exactly during a season are fans allowed to be concerned? Whats the date, so I can mark it on my calendar.

Then I can wake up that morning and say "oh, today is finally the day that its not too early in the season to worry".

The Twins are a good team. Top 5? Dunno. Season isn't even half over.

        Mediocre? No.

I know I should accept this "outcry" from MN fans, as it happens all the time. A couple losses to another good team, and the sky starts to fall. A couple wins against another good team, it's "World Series, here we come!"

        But it gets old.

I'm not saying Title Or Bust there's no concerns, but I'm not on the bench/get rid of everyone either.

We have a solid shot. Better than last year. There's some things we have to fix, sure. I'm not sold on Rauch being one of them, yet.

Kubel needs to get fixed, now. Middle relief is boom or bust. More consistency would be appreciated. Our starters aren't all All Stars, but they are far from the worst thing in baseball.

I previously brought up the stats of the 87 and 91 teams' pitching, and they weren't that great overall.

Same as most if not all sports, get in the playoffs, and then get on a hot streak. Boom. Title. We have that chance.

When do the Mets usually start choking away their division leads? That day.

For the Brewers, it's usually the day after the AS break.

We're citing stats now? The Yankees will be in the playoffs. Gardy can't be the Yankees.

Enjoy the division ride cause the bus stops there. Again. At least we get 162 games of fun.

What if they Yankees win the Division? Then we could play the Rays?

Not sure if our record against them in the last three years is different but I hope so.

I took in my first game at Target Field last night. I enjoyed a Vincent Burger, a comfy chair, a great night and two losses ( ). I hate the Yankees so much. Did not get a chance to check out the Majestic Store and walk around the stadium much Next time.

The Twins prove they have no chance to win the World Series. If you go 1-5 against the Yankees w/o facing Sabathia or Hughes, you're screwed. Gardy and the Twins are ****ing down their legs every time they see the pinstripes.

I'm sick of winning the division and that being enough for the franchise and fans. Show some progress or fire the manager and GM. Move forward or move on.

Every game matters, remember game 163 last year? How about the year before that? This has become a tiresome argument. Games in April aren't worth 3/5 of those in July. No, you can't win a pennant in April or May, but you sure as hell can lose it.

Wait for it, it will come if they beat a quality team like Tampa when they play later this season.

I just love how fatalistic the fans are in this town, but I have to say it kind of takes some of the fun out of following the Twins when people are so up and down.

And yes Nathan, I'm aware of everything you said. I might say something similar if they were 4 or 5 games back in the division at this point. But they aren't, they're leading. With the 3rd best winning percentage in the AL.

Forgive me for not overreacting in May.

The only way the Twins can make it to the WS is if they make the playoffs, draw someone other than NY in round one, and then have NY knocked off by someone else. It is glaringly obvious that this team simply can't win a series against the Yanks, no matter how well their pitching performs (and really - can you expect the pitching staff to do better than holding them to four runs over two games?).
