If you are of the belief that luck and things of that nature even out, then you have to be pleased with what the second half of this season is shaping up to be for the Twins.

They are going to score a sh*t ton of runs. They might set the record for grand slams by one team in a season.

The line drive hit by Mauer off the pitcher for an out (caught by A-Rod) was just horrid.

They've solved their problem; by not getting baserunners, they can't strand any.

1st and 3rd with nobody out in the 8th, and MN can't push a run across to take the lead.

Nah, this inability to convert opportunities can't possibly be important.

... and Rauch gives up a homerun to Swisher. The failure in the 8th is going to lead to a loss barring a miracle against Rivera.

1 of 5 is unacceptable. This team is overrated.

MN just isn't getting key situational hits right now. They clearly should've taken the first game given all the guys they left on base while NY generated nothing at all save for the solo shot by Jeter in the 6th. In tonight's game, NY left more guys on base, but MN had a couple chances to take the game from them - and didn't.

It's the same issue that's been plaguing the Twins for quite awhile now - leaving too many guys on base and not driving them in when they get RISP with 0-1 outs. I'm getting sick of seeing a guy on 3rd with 0 outs and seeing multiple hitters fail to drive him in.

Lastly, the power has disappeared. Who was the last guy to hit one out of the park for MN - and when did it happen?

                      Morneau last week Monday?

It's getting sickening being a fan of teams that can't score.

I would have said "Morneau at least a week ago", but I honestly don't remember the last one.

They almost went 1-3 against the Brewers, what more did everyone expect?

Why bring in the meatball closer in a tie game? Crain could have done the same thing faster. Listening to the post game, Gardy's really starting to sound like Mike Tice.

Gardy can't beat the A.L. East, he can't beat the big teams. They are what they are, a mediocre baseball team. They can beat up the crappy Central and the crappy National League just fine. I thought the Twins would take that next step this year, apparently not.
