What's the recourse for consumers if the cable companies are violating the CALM act?

From Wiki: Television viewers are asked to report loud commercials that violate this bill to the FCC
        Good luck with that btw.

The corporate lobby writes the laws that regulate it. Consumers have no rights. We exist so the owners can continue to buy additional mansions and yachts. We aren't even a product, we are a crop.

          • I like how AT&T assumes I know what Matt Stafford looks like, as if he's some legit NFL superstar and not some schlub who was pity-****ed into a Super Bowl win because the NFL really needed the LA experiment to work this time.

            • During the Mets game tonight an ad ran for Citi which tried to associate them with Black Wall Street.

Was thinking the same thing but for Jon Hamm in the Progressive commercials with Flo.

After some attempts at the big screen in the last 10 years, I think Hamm kinda knows he's destined to be a character actor. If you need a handsome cop, businessman, side piece, or fiance for your story, he's one of many you would consider. In-between filming, he's never shied away from doing ads to fill the paycheck gaps (Mercedes, STL Blues, American Airlines, etc.).

                      • Hamm is a perfect typecast TV actor. Just like the dude who played Roger.

I would watch anything that had them in it just eating scenery as those two types. They are perfect Trapped Corporate Climbers like Tony Randal and Jack Lemon in all those "how to get ahead in business" movies. And they are absolutely clothes horses; I would kill to look like either.

                        • BTW I have never understood the term "character actor." Or maybe it is used inconsistently. I always thought it meant a guy who is so versatile he can "disappear into the character," like John Carroll Lynch. But I see it used as a guy who always portrays the same type, like Walter Brennan.

                          • But Jon Hamm realizes he's being goofy in the Progressive commercials, and based on other non-Mad-Men roles he seems more than OK with that. I'm pretty sure Sharon Stone still thinks it's 30 years ago and she's going some sort of great service for Lenscrafters.
