So it looks like Franklin is getting outcoached, again. It's one thing his D has decided that 56min was enough, and there's less reason to play now, but Franklin hasn't called a TO and we are at 2min to go. Illinois is celebrating the 100th anniversary of their stadium today. 100 years ago, Red Grange beat the NC out of Michigan. So to celebrate that, Illinois is wearing throwback unis. Including leather looking helmets.

In hockey, in an empty net situation, if a player has a breakaway on that empty net, and the other team throws their stick at the puck, it's awarded a goal whether it actually went in or not.

Yeah, I was going to mention that, but I thought goaltending was a better comparison.

it shouldn't be a goal. It should be a penalty. But whatever. It comes up so incredibly rarely that I'm not going to die on that hill.
