Saw that the US Women's Rugby won bronze, which is cool because it's the first ever Olympic medal. But I swear it was just the other day when I saw they won to make it to the semis and then nothing. Who did they lose to and when? It had to have been yesterday.

Also, Women's Gymnastics - was there any doubt? Actually, I admit I had a little when Simone Biles had to get her calf wrapped. [typical American]Happy for them and glad they won gold because I'm getting a little sick of all the bronze!![/typical American

It’s definitely a fascinating sport. I know there’s both a men’s and women’s Sevens World Series event every year in the US but it’s typically on the West Coast.

It was interesting watching the triathlon being held in a river. The upstream portion took 3x as long as the downstream segment (two laps of the course overall). Definitely seemed to throw a curveball for the athletes.

What appears to you as two players on the podium, they were actually three! It was me, my competitor, & my yet-to-come to our world, little baby!
My baby & I had our fair share of challenges, be it both physical & emotional. The rollercoaster of pregnancy is tough on its own, but having to fight to keep the balance of life & sports was nothing short of strenuous, however worth it.
I’m writing this post to say that pride fills my being for securing my place in the round of 16!
