If you look at just solar sure but I’m not sure many scientists would agree with you that Arizona will be better in 20 or 50 years. The water issue is a very, very big deal and huge desalinization plants are not easy and the Great Lakes ain’t gonna let them steal our water.

its a lot more complicated that just “Arizona hot, solar big” but I’m sure you know that.

Biden and Cooper have a chance to put a nail in the coffin of this election in NC. That's not why they should do it, but it should make their efforts more urgent.

People are so effing dumb. Phoenix is unlivable without ac and using ac just amplifies our issue and yet hey people think well I’m still going to move there and I’m gonna get mine

id feel better about helping if they weren’t such *******s about it. NYC has good teams working on adaptation and are doing some amazing things. Alabama, Texas, and Florida and sc can all ****ing sink because I no longer believe they can escape maga. They will flood, drown, blame dems for not getting enough aid and rev their giant truck engines while owning the libs

I wish we could figure out a way to get the same people out of those states and relocated so it’s just maga left to rot. I mean Jesus will save them

But yeah, climate change is screwing with our of control home prices. California is the next one to get hit hard (it already is). Rumors of insurance rates going up 30% on average in fire country.

anyways, Wall Street won't pay. Shareholders won't either. It's always the customer. If the companies are forced to cover, they'll just offer premiums that are roughly equal to the price of the house divided by the likelihood they'll get destroyed.

and further, you're going to hit people like me who have to pay for this **** because the companies will jack rates everywhere. **** that.

Florida is going to Florida man. They can work on fixing it, but the people who lose their insurance are just interested in complaining about it to justify an authoritarian to do nothing for them.

I also think there can be regulations that reduce the impact of corporate greed over the customers.

I don't see it changing any time soon, but someone has to pay for it. And until people figure out that we are collectively the cause of all of this, the long term pay out will be a lot more expensive if we don't do something soon.

But I will also contend that the fastest way to get money in line with climate change is to force them to cover people and pay out. We are already seeing massive, huge increases of rates in Florida, but they also seem to avoid paying totally out. All of the stock markets HAVE to have skin in the game for climate change. Making it financial to everyone will change things quickly. Heck, it's not unreasonable to have a carbon tax that is the main source of federal bail outs. If that fund ever gets over funded, then they can dial it back. But we all know that's not going to happen.

Once Wall St is forced to pay out for their lying, the misinformation will surely end, too.

I just watched storm chaser feeds for half an hour and saw transformers blow out in a Winn Dixie parking lot. Young males are so stupid. I'm going to bed.
