  • "I will create a government efficiency commission tasked with conducting a complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government," Trump told an audience that included Trump's former treasury secretary, Steve Mnuchin, and financiers Scott Bessent and John Paulson.
Musk said on an Aug. 19 podcast that he had held conversations with the former president about the commission and that he would be interested in serving on it.

    • Sure. Musk is out to ruin the government just like he destroyed Twitter and his car company.

Trump says he doesn’t want voters who didn’t vote for him in the Republican primary: “I don’t want that person. They say you should take everybody but that's not the way I'm built”

                        • Eighty-eight corporate leaders endorse Harris in new letter, including CEOs of Yelp, Box

                          CNN runs with this headline:

Mixed news on US jobs: Unemployment rate falls but hiring is slowing

But deeper in the article it states:

US employers added 142,000 jobs in August, a sharp pickup from July’s downwardly revised total, and the unemployment rate edged lower to 4.2% from 4.3%. Those numbers are nothing to scoff at, showing that America’s job market is, at the very least, holding up for now.
                          And more media fun:

Can you even imagine an article written about a male candidate in which it described his "demanding management style" as a weakness?

A few days ago CNN and CNBC were pretending that because there were less job openings and unemployment was low that that was a bad thing. Now I get the point they were making (it is a possible red flag that the economy is slowing) but they didn't come at it from that angle. Plus, that will be offset when the Fed lowers interests this month, next month and probably every month until the Inauguration. People have jobs, jobs are being filled and wages are on the rise...if we just got rid of the price gouging this would be the most robust economy we have had in my lifetime. (which is why we havent even side-eyed a recession)

And I cannot believe they are bringing out the retread "Not everyone liked working for her" crap. That didn't gain traction before the DNC and it wont now. Shows how desperate they are to find something to break up the daily "Donald Trump/JD Vance said what now...to who?". They never pull this crap with men (where are all the former Trump workers they cant all be under NDAs and well...JD was a terrible VC so he likely never employed anyone) it is always women. Hillary, Klobuchar Harris...its like the media thinks women bosses are supposed to be all nice and laissez faire. (i.e. weak and feminine) That they would dare act like a boss means they arent like their perfect mommy who baked apple pies in house dress and got daddy his martini when he got home from work and smoked his pipe. News flash to the phucking media...any boss that is good at their job is likely hated by some group within their office. Men, woman, out of date robot in needing of update, walking tangerine...ALL OF THEM! Your misogyny is pathetic and makes you illegitimate. (lots of things do) Some newsflash...prosecutor acted like a prosecutor!

Meanwhile Der Sturmer...errr...Politico sanewashed (I love this term) Trumps rambling nonsense at the NY Economic Club yesterday (the clip I posted was from there) as a "sweeping economic vision" or some such nonsense. Trump rambling incoherently gets good headlines, Harris doing her job years ago bad headlines.

Here is my bet for the debate...Harris is going to destroy Trump and in the moment everyone will say that that isn't a Republican employed by CNN. Faux will try and do damage control but you will be able to tell by the things they say that even they know it. (the day people will be more reserved, the night people will be over the top about how unfair it was or find the basic coherent sayings and promote them) Within 72 hours though everyone not at MSNBC will start to walk all of it back, find ways she was maybe too harsh (they have all begged her to attack him) or she brought up his indictments and convictions too much (they have said she needs to hammer him on this) light on facts and policy (they have all said not to turn this into a policy debate because no one cares right now) or that Trump was more reserved than normal which shows he is learning and maybe could be better than he was before. They will find every time she paused or stammered and analyze it Zapruder Style and ignore the sundowning they are watched and all the times Biden gets name dropped by him because he has no idea where he is or what he is doing.
