  • Jets are panicking. They fired the GM- as if that's the reason the offense is so bad and the defense dropped off a cliff. Unless the owner is blaming him for getting Rogers.

Who’s the first person the media goes to whenever something happens with the Cowboys? The coach? The GM? Nope, it’s always Jerry. Nothing is ever going to change for the Cowboys as long as Jerry is around.

I'm confused. Rogers is still there, but you wrote that they fired the GM.

The Patriots have hope. The Cowboys have none until Jerry has shuffled off. I mean, he's a week older than Biden and meddles in everything.

It's kind of funny about the situation- lots of the talking heads are suggesting that Deon Sanders should be hired as the coach. But at the same time, others point out Jerry's ego, which probably wont match with Deon's nor his need for control.

But if Jerry thinks he knows best, who am I to say he doesn't. Who isn't fine with the pokes sucking?

Well, the *real* GM has been there all along, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc_37ga9dWs

What's so funny about this whole thing is how it's progressing. They get Rogers, and everyone thinks they will win the SB. Then he gets hurt and the team sucks except for a pretty amazing defense last year. Rogers comes back, and the offense still sucks really bad, and the D is keeping them in. So naturally, they fire the coach who is responsible for the D. Which has the obvious result that the D really falls off a cliff. And the offense still sucks so they are losing worse. And, of course, that clearly means the GM is at fault now.

How is it that the OC still has a job? They have sucked all along.

But, like the pokes, who am I to question when the Jets suck? (sorry, Russel)

                        • The NFL adopted a flex option for Thursday Night Football in 2023. On Friday, the league activated the break-glass option for the first time ever, bumping Browns-Bengals out for Broncos-Chargers.

While there’s no blanket ability for teams that get a Thursday shoulder tap to say no, the Broncos could have. Per the NFL, the league has a policy against giving a team two short-week road games in the same season. The league asked the Broncos if they’d been willing to make the shift and accept a second short-week road game. The Broncos agreed — even though it makes them the first team since the 1926 L.A. Buccaneers to play twice on the road on Thursday after playing on Sunday, via Josh Dubow of the Associated Press.

                            • I like the DAL-WAS clash of jerseys. Were I Washington, I would retire the team name, and just use the city. Or call them the Columbians to p-ss everybody off again.
