I know some people might have issues with the Lions doing trick plays in games like that, but if you watched the Jags linebacker react to it- IMHO, the Lions are setting up teams to expect the trick plays. Which means that some of those plays may open up space for the non trick part of the play.

          • Bills beat the Chiefs to the delight of everyone. Now do that again in the AFC Championship game.

That game and the ending to the Steelers-Ravens game was pretty darned good- for the top teams in the AFC.

For a couple of average teams, the Seattle score super late over SF was fun, too.

While that would be fun, it’ll probably be Philadelphia-Detroit.

Packers did everything they could to lose that one. Goal line interception, stopped at the two on 4th and goal, then burning a timeout on a challenge with three minutes left when they would get the ball first and goal at the half yard line anyway. But, the Bears had Bears luck.

                  • Last nights game was interesting- San Diego got out to a big lead in the first half, gave up the whole thing to the Bengals just after the 2 min warning. Pretty exciting to see the come back.

Then BOTH teams really quickly went 3 and out. How many times have you seen TWO 3/outs after the 2 min warning. And there was enough time left for the San Diego Chargers of LA to have a min left to run down the field to win. It was if neither team wanted to win, but the Bengals wanted to less.

So apparently they are supposed to protect the long snapper. Who got 3 guys obliterate him on the way to the block.

They just aren’t supposed to make direct contact on the snapper. The first two who contact him went to shoot the gap and were blocked into him by the guards on each side.

But the reason they were blocked into him is that they were trying to shoot the gap. So they were aiming half at the guard and half at the center.

Actually, the one to the left of the snapper didn't get blocked into him, he moved to go right over the snapper. And seeing the play, the blockers are not moving forward like a run, so they are being directed by the defense rushing. So even if it looks like the are being blocked into the snapper. it's their movement to the center of the play that is forcing that motion.

The NFL and the refs need to decide if they are going to protect the snapper or not. If not, then none of this is a big deal, just run over the smallest guy on the line all day long.

                          • I know that one should be a fan of a team and their success.

But I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who enjoys seeing the cowboys implode. As most of the talking heads would say would happen based on the off season.

                            • Only 5 times has a QB thrown for at least 3000 yds, 27 TDs, and 5 or fewer INTs after 11 games.

One of them finished with a record of 13-3, one 14-2, one 15-1, one 16-0.

Then there's Joe Burrow and his current 4-7 record.
