I first heard of him years ago when he was in a Subaru commercial. Subaru used people with names of cars of Subaru competitors. “Mercury drives Subaru…” I can still hear that jingle. Susan Ford (daughter of former president Gerald Ford) was also in it. Does anyone else remember that ad?Comment

Obviously I am more than a bit older and remember Morris as a fairly decent running back. And yes I recall the commercial you mention. I remember thinking they were going to run out of people with car names fairly quickly unless they started to use the groups from the 50's rock era that recorded (the Cadillacs, the Fleetwoods, etc.).
