Oh I bet you could find better reasons to sue Di$ney if you want to go down that avenue. You will never win but you got my support!

That movie should have never been announced in the first place...studios are getting super obnoxious with it. On a movie board I am a part of (i.e. they know/work on movies and I ask dumb questions) almost everyone said the original announcement sounded like fluff, then when delays started they guaranteed it had been canceled and they were delaying the announcement. Then they announced it. Then they brought it back when it was convenient only to never actually really put in effort in. Same thing WB did with a bunch of DC properties before they rebooted. Its advanced clickbait.

That film has a weird sordid story that kind of started with Patty wanting to give the middle finger to WB over delays with distributing WW84 during the Pandemic (which was actually as much Nolan's fault as theirs because of TENET) and Di$ney wanting to have more films to announce in a slate that was looking weaker by the day because Star Wars was turning their fans toxic with TLJ, ROS and Solo. I don't know if they played her like a fiddle or if she knew what she was getting into but I remember even people who work at the Trades doubted the film was real when asked on SM.

(I am a huge Patty backer so I remember the discussions)

    • Watched The Gray Man on Netflix last night. Felt like a Michael Bay movie: predictable plot with lots of explosions and gunfire.

          • In & Of Itself (2020 Hulu). This was different. It's part one-man play, part magic show, part performer challenges audience with cerebral storytelling and audience participation. I thought it was quite thought provoking. It most definitely won't be for everyone and it's a very slow build, but I enjoyed all of it and the getting to the end was very worth it.

Also I plan to start watching CeroCeroCero (ZeroZeroZero) which is an Italian crime drama series. The source material is a book by Robert Saviano, who also wrote the book that became the absolutely brilliant series Gomorrah. If this comes anywhere close to that series I'll be very pleased.

              • I just finished watching Ghostbusters: Frozen Pile. I’ll put it in his way, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is to Ghostbusters: Frozen Pile and Ghostbusters (1984) is to Ghostbusters 2, except 2 was better than Frozen Pile by comparison.

Heres the thing, it was really bad writing. There were a couple fun spots, but not a few, and they were quick hits rather than building a scene. You go into knowing that the city will be in danger, and the Ghostbusters will come through to save the city. so the movie hinges on good joke placement and a non-disjointed telling of the story. They just failed. It made me dislike Patton Oswalt’s cameo role and I freaking love Patton Oswalt!

Yeah, but it’s streaming on Netflix now, so I didn’t shell out any extra cash for it.

                      • DEADPOOL & WOLVERIENE

I had a crap ton of fun with this one. As expected, it leans strongly into humor while offering hard R-rating action. I laughed throughout. This was right up my alley. The action is well done with dynamic camera movements (although there is a key action scene where it goes full shaky cam & quick cuts, and it's a disservice because of the people who are in the scene. You'll likely want to see more of what they do instead of the frantic bouncing around done here). You want to sit back and enjoy your popcorn for this one.

This movie also has a lot of "inside" jokes to people who are more than casual comic book movie and actual comic book fans. I don't think they will get in the way of the enjoyment for people who don't get the references, but when these things hit, it's just a **chef kiss**. Go see it in a full, rowdy theatre this weekend. There were several audible reactions that made things a ton of fun in my Thursday screening.

                        I give it a grade of A-.

Better than Deadpool 2? I mean, Deadpool 2 was still very good, but it felt a step below Deadpool 1. I guess what I'm trying to say is, please tell me no Rusty this time.

I think it was a step back up from the last one. Reynolds and Jackman have great chemistry and most of the heavy lifting is done through their banter. This is all directly tied into the main story point, so there really isn't a need to divert from this. You'll be happy =)

                              Hartnett is excellent .

the movie is unintentionally hilarious at times. One reviewer said they laughed more in this movie than Deadpool. Not sure that’s what M Night was going for
