For the USMNT, the tl;dr was play pretty decent but got punished by a couple of mistakes, got unlucky on a few chances (had a shot saved off the line at one point), got it to 2-1, took players off to manage minutes (it’s was a friendly after all), proceeded to give up three goals in the last fifteen minutes.

It’ll be interesting to see how they bounce back against Brazil today.

When Brazil has possession on the US half of the pitch, the US is very passive on attacking the player with the ball. I'm not sure that's a great strategy against such a talented side.

It is a "park the bus" sort of defense. They just don't want to press and allow Brazil to connect a couple passes and then make the final pass to a player standing all alone with a tap-in from the 6-yard line.

I surely get that, but it feels like delaying a disaster waiting to happen.

Also Turner has been terrible on goal kicks. It's as if after the one that led to the BRA goal has made him push the ball nearly out of bounds to the right side every time.

Another terrible Turner ball leads to a yellow and a free kick. I don't understand basically playing an at best 50/50 ball.

Turner has not been good at much of anything for a while. Consequence of not playing much. Sad part is there's not any better options.
