No strategy, the players suck. Changing coaches isn’t going to change the fact the defenders are terrible. It isn’t going to change the fact that Pulisic is 200-ply soft. It isn’t going to change the fact they can’t score.

Pochettino can maybe cover up some holes but let’s not expect the miracles that many seem to think will happen. I’m gonna keep beating this drum: The players suck and they’re ****ing soft.

At least Turner was finally dropped in favor of a goalie who actually plays, and good thing because it’s probably 4-0 if they don’t.

Uh, Canada has Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies, widely regarded as the two best players in CONCACAF. They’re not better across the board but it’s closer than you think.

A lot of the US players’ talent is vastly overrated. The club names and league names look nice but look a little deeper and you’ll see a bunch of names that ride the bench or play near the bottom of the table.

The players are a huge part of the problem though, and anyone who actually takes an objective look at things would realize that.

I call bull**** on your bull****. Canada is very close, just compare:

GK: Turner has dropped off of cliff without playing time, Schulte has a good future but Crepeau is just as capable.

Wingback: Robinson and Dest are very good but Alphonso Davies blows both of them out of the water (best player in CONCACAF, zero doubt) and Alistair Johnson is very capable as well. It's close but Davies gives Canada an edge.

Defense: Ream should never see the field again he's fallen that much and he got covered for a lot at Fulham, Richards is decent but is lazy and makes mistakes, Miles Robinson should probably be starting, and Cameron Carter-Vickers is at Celtic for a reason (he's not good enough). Canada has two solid Ligue 1 defenders in Cornelius and Bombito, Bombito just transfering out of Colorado for a hefty fee. It's a wash here.

Midfield: USMNT has an edge here simply due to Pulisic, but not as much as you think. Reyna, Musah, McKennie, Weah, and Adams are all talented but they barely play. Eustaquio isn't as talented but he's solid and capable, same with Choiniere. Shaffelburg and Ahmed are MLS players but solid.

Forward: Jonathan David wins here hands down. Doesn't matter who the US starts, Balogun, Pepi, Wright, and Sargent are nowhere near David.

The players are...and so is the coaching...the directors...the structure.... EVERYTHING'S wrong with USA soccer. But there was one person who kept pimping Berhalter...look in the mirror.
