        Kepler,

I had a flight credit to use up before it expired, so I'm going to NYC for a long weekend in May. Planning to go to a Mets game while I'm out there to knock another stadium off the list. Any preferences for where in the stadium to aim for ticket wise? One side have a better view than the other or anything like that? I'm too old for the bleachers. Beyond that, don't really care.

I recommend going on Mets reddit and asking. I have been only once, for the 2006 NLDS.

Diamondbacks put up 14 in the 3rd on the Rockies on their way to a 16-1 win. On the other end of the spectrum the Tigers won 1-0 off a sac fly in the 3rd.

I'll never understand why MLB has a huge opening day, then follows up by having most of the teams off the next.

Just a built-in make-up day so they don't have to try to play a doubleheader right away. It's annoying but it served a purpose this year for the Mets and Phillies. All the teams originally scheduled for today are either in domes or California where a rain out isn't likely.

Because people pay a premium for opening day, so if there's a rainout they can reschedule the next day and the same people can attend.

Which, as Ive said before, is another reason it's stupid to have opening day on a Thursday and then take a Friday off. The traditional Monday worked because then the extra off day was a Tuesday. They'd be better off making the opening series 4- games and moving opening day to Wednesday with the off day Thursday.
