Curious how many other teams have sold at the deadline and then made a run for the playoffs. Some teams do it while they're on the bubble, but the Tigers have been under a 5% chance all year. Helps they got Sweeney in one of the trades, but still.

        • They must really wanted to avoid a doubleheader in Detroit. They delayed the game two hours and still started in the rain. Hard enough rain that everyone is in ponchos and it's visible even on the centerfield camera.

Sweeney is a good get, for certain, but maybe the Tigers are the ultimate addition through subtraction team. I saw somewhere that the Tigers as an organization made playoffs at 5 different levels. I also saw some Al Avila love on twitter, in that he should have went no further than head of scouting, because this org has some very good youth but his trades and signings are what doomed him.

My sister and brother-in-law are at the game today and it looks pretty wet. Hopefully they get the game in since the game might need to be replayed depending on what the Royals do.

Baez going to the IL definitely helped. He was only good with RISP.

                • OK, got it. Had to stream Fox. Advantage is they let me take the Mets radio feed so I don't get the national swill. I hope they do this for the playoffs!!!

They have both games. And you live in Orioles country. The map for the game is Minnesota, Baltimore, and AL playoff cities.

I get that, but if they are going to carry multiple games and only broadcast one within a market they shouldn't be permitted to enjoin the team TV broadcasts. Those should be available in markets where the game isn't on the local yokel affiliate.

For that matter, I don't see why streaming broadcasts should be affected by TV at all. Let TV have exclusive control of the Olds who watch TV, but on streaming let freedom ring.

You can't let fans watch the game they want to, silly.

You can stream local radio through the LCS. ESPN Radio has exclusive national radio rights for the World Series; local crew can only be over the air in the home market.

                              • I don't understand MLB reviews. Clear shot of the White Sox fielder bobbling the ball and then it hitting the wall and they still held it up as a catch.
