    • Athletics say there is no guarantee they would play home playoff games if they make it during the three years in Sacramento.

The move also screws over the AAA team playing there, who also couldn’t host the PCL championship if they qualify, because it’s during the A’s home stand next year. And as a reminder, because of the wear and tear that two full home schedules would do to a field, they’re installing turf in a place that is routinely above 100 degrees.

      • The White Sox are at 33-113.

Definitely on pace to beat the 2003 Tigers for futility.

Surprisingly only 50 games back. If this season wasn’t so parity filled, or if the schedules were the old division-heavy ones, they could easily be back 60-70 games.

1962 Mets finished 60.5 games out. If you remove the 3 game playoff between the Giants and Dodgers, it's only 60 games.

51.5 games out of 1st overall right now. I think this Mets mark of futility is safe.

I don't think that will happen. Reinsdorf will sell the team to cash out in the next few years as I'm sure he won't want to deal with "New Stadium BS".

In other news, what the hell happened with the Twin's Single-A catcher?

Dude just up and quit basically.

That’s kind of it. Is there anyone (capable of owning the team) besides Reinsdorf that wants to keep them in Chicago?
