The good news is my team didn't lose this weekend. Bad news is it was a bye week.
I get the entire squad decided to bolt for greener pastures once the coach decided the AHL was better, but ugh.
NMU is not as bad as the record ahows, but the lack of scoring is absolutely killing them. This team would be facing exhibition style blowout losses if it wasn't for the hustle from defense and the goaltending. The dam is gonna break and this team is gonna get rolling soon.
So many good points I saw in person a month ago. They hustle for the puck, always moving, always getting involved in the play.... it's like watching a team full of piano movers. We just need some piano players.

The CHN app still isn’t using loading the Pairwise rankings. Usually it takes a few weeks so the Ivies actually have comparisons but by now it should be in there. Still glad to have it regardless. I don’t know if any other score apps even have college hockey, and if the others do they’re probably inundated with gambling ads or integrated with a sportsbook right into the app.

Yeah, they're the only fanbase that has complainers. And you also neglect to mention the other fans that called them out for it.

in a professional or adult setting, you can work that out with all parties involved. The problem is, if the power dynamic shifts at all or one person doesn't consent, that situation can't exist and would need to stop immediately.
That is what #woke means, at the core. And why so many people who defend dominance hierarchies are enraged by it. It exposes their privilege to abuse.

They must’ve pulled the goalies and played 6x6 in Happy Valley this weekend. Michigan sweeps with 6-5 and 10-6 wins.
ASU goes on the road and sweeps #1 Denver, dropping them down to 8th in the pairwise. BC split with Northeastern. While BC is still #1 in the pairwise, good chance MSU is #1 in the media polls this week.

I get that things may have went sideways "in the moment" with his line of thinking, but yea, that's just bad. Dude will never be behind the bench of a women's team again.

There are lots of circumstances here to unpack: power differential, age difference, threatening stance, abusive words, abusive physicality. Let's try to simplify them by stripping the situation down.
Say player J is female. The rest of her NOSHO team, the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, is male. They're all 50. Can J use the lockerroom with the guys? Can everybody get naked or not and not care? Is there a point where sex just doesn't matter, like a doctor examining a patient?
Flip the genders in the prior example. Is it different since now it reinforces a gender power difference?
Now make J a 50, M and the rest of the team 25, F. A difference? They're still all just playing hockey as teammates, not coach and players, nothing sexual is said.
Introducing abusive behavior changes things radically, but shouldn't it regardless of gender considerations?
Discuss.
